After studying Various Subjects which perturb me and i wanted to expand on...i eventually chose the cotton crisis in Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan is a former soviet union state. Now run by a dictator. Children are forced out of school at gun point to the cotton field, where very few are paid to harvest cotton that could easily be collected with the machinery the country has.
Not only is there a Large exclamation mark over human rights in Uzbekistan, but the intensive cotton farming has lead to eautirfication and over irrigation, resulting in the drying up of uzbek's large inland sea that used to be abundant in fish.
the most shocking thing i found out when conducting my research is so little people know what is happening let alone Uzbekistan existed...
